The Spitfire Roaster is literally
the best machine on the UK market. We have thought about
every aspect of its design and construction. We're firm
believers that "What you pays for, you gets!"
Our machine is the only one we know about which is
made from laser cut, 316 & 304 food quality, unpainted,
stainless steel, with no glass viewing window. (**
Why are these points important? See Notes
1-4 below).
It carries the CE mark that complies with A1 of the
European Gas Appliance Directive (90/396/EEC) EC mark
GB, IE, with a product ID No. 87BR76.
- Note 1:
316 & 304 food quality
stainless steel has a high chromium content.
This means it remains rust free and ensures
our spit roaster has a high residual value, in that
it will be in much the same condition years after
machines made with ordinary non food quality stainless
steel have rusted away. Hint:
Take a magnet with you if you want to check out other
roasters - if it sticks, it isn't food quality stainless
steel.
- Note 2: Why unpainted?
Whilst other spit roast machines may be painted
prettily, it will take very few cooking sessions to
make these look far less attractive. The heat of cooking,
plus use of chemicals, scourers, wire wool or other
abrasives will soon take the paint off. We designed
ours so that in 5 years time, it will still look as
attractive as possible.
- Note 3: Why no glass
window? Even safety glass has been
known to shatter, during transport and cooking on
some spit roast machines, ruining the session completely.
- Note 4: Our
machines' thick stainless steel is cut by computer
controlled laser to ensure extreme accuracy in its
construction.
